Current status: Phase 1 protocol testing. Start with a small disposable file. Batch queues and browser-restart recovery are not available yet.

Direct transfer

Selected media goes from your browser to Google Drive over HTTPS. BatchHarbor has no upload server and does not receive a copy.

Resumable uploads, confirmed-byte progress, stable file identities, pausing, and bounded retries are being tested before large-batch release.

Mobile first

The design prioritizes iPhone and iPad Safari while retaining standards-based support for Android and desktop browsers.

How the finished uploader is intended to work

Select photos and videos using your device’s native picker.
Connect your Google account and choose a destination folder.
Start the batch, keep the page visible, and watch aggregate progress.
Pause, resume, or retry failed files without restarting completed work.

Browser wake locks help keep the screen on but do not provide native background execution. Current Safari lifecycle findings and test evidence are published in the project repository.

Your media stays on the path you chose

BatchHarbor requests the narrow drive.file permission and uses Google Identity Services for authorization. It does not ask for your Google password, run advertising or analytics, or sell user data.
